Join us on a journey to learn about Immanuel Kant and his vision of fairness for all. The course begins with a video set in a peaceful Icelandic village, where shared values and fair rules help maintain harmony. From there, students will discover how Kant’s teachings on fairness can be applied to modern communities. Through creative activities like comic strips and rule creation, students will learn how Kant’s ideas remain relevant in today’s world and how they can contribute to building a fairer society.
Students will create a comic strip that illustrates Kant’s vision of fairness and equality, using Canva to bring their ideas to life. Additionally, they will design a new classroom constitution for creating a fair and inclusive community based on Kant’s teachings.
Teachers will have access to detailed lesson plans aligned with the NSW curriculum, ensuring the course is adaptable to different educational standards. These plans will help make the material accessible, engaging, and meaningful for all students.
This course goes beyond theory, encouraging students to reflect on how Kant’s lessons on fairness can be applied to real-world scenarios. Students will be challenged to think critically about the role of fairness and inclusion in their daily interactions and how they can contribute positively to their communities, both inside and outside the classroom.
