Finally, children all around the world will be invited to spend their day listening to 17 keynote presentations delivered by 17 groups of amazing children from around the world (as judged by our selection panel), who have proven that change starts with us and that little actions within our local community can have a big impact globally.
This short course will see students working collaboratively to create change within their local communities, with an aim to complete 170 actions that are in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The students will use purpose-based educational activities to create and evaluate change within their community and beyond. All students will be invited to attend the global World Children’s Day Upschool Conference on November 21th each year.

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of global goals adopted by the UN in 2015 to guide efforts towards a more sustainable and equitable future for all. These goals cover a wide range of issues, including poverty, hunger, health, education, and climate change. One of the key goals of the SDGs is to ensure that all children have access to quality education, which is essential for their personal and societal development. This includes providing children with the knowledge, skills, and values they need to become responsible and active citizens who can contribute to the well-being of their communities and the planet. By engaging children in real-world learning activities related to the SDGs, this course aims to help them understand the complex issues facing our world and empower them to take action to create a more sustainable future.
