There is a lack of reliable curriculum-aligned content for teachers on wildlife habitat. The ReWild Your School program seeks to address this issue.
How Jane Goodall Institute Australia’s project addresses this problem:
ReWild Your School is a term long, step by step program for teachers that can be easily delivered irrespective of skill or background in the subject area.
Teachers and students get an easy-to-follow program that engages them with why and how wildlife habitat is critical for species in their community. It has the option of an in-school workshop delivered by JGIA and a tree planting day.
The program is for sale through JGIA – funds raised can help low socio-economic schools access the program for around $600 per class of 30 students.
