Live Lesson: Taking the Perfect Photo to Support Your News Article

Here’s what will happen during this session:

Here’s what will happen during this session:

Every great news article has amazing photos. In this live session, we are going to explore what it is that makes a great photograph. We will look at concepts like the rule of thirds, framing, choosing a background and perhaps the most important concept in photography – lighting.

Important: For this lesson, you will need access to a camera (any camera is fine – including a phone or iPad with a camera). The more cameras you can get access to for your class, the better. If there is only one camera for the class to share, you can still come to the lesson and get something out of it!

In this 4-part series, we have investigated the science of kindness and the structure of a news article and have written our first news article.

By the end of the 4 Week Series, students will have an article to share with the school community, via your website, newsletter or social media channels that will make everyone feel warm and fuzzy feelings inside!

Week 1: The Science of Kindness (Completed – recording available soon)
