During this short course, we are going to explore the amazing world of plants and how they use photosynthesis to survive and thrive. We will delve into the process of photosynthesis and how it allows plants to convert sunlight into energy.

We will allow your children to not only be excited by the world of plants, but also allow them to demonstrate their knowledge and enthusiasm for nature by producing teaching materials and even planting their very own forest.

By the end of this course, we want children to understand the importance of photosynthesis for plant growth and survival. We want them to see plants as more than just decorative objects, but rather as living, breathing organisms that play a vital role in our ecosystem. We want to open up the world of botany and the wonders of nature by discovering the magic of photosynthesis!

Teaching Program

The teaching program is designed to walk teachers through the process of teaching photosynthesis to your students. The document is aligned with the curriculum but can be downloaded and edited to suit the needs of your school or state.

The course documents include real-world learning opportunities in which students use the knowledge they have just gained, to understand the vital role that plants play in our ecosystem and the importance of photosynthesis for plant growth and survival. During this course, your children will get to develop a deeper understanding of the world of plants and photosynthesis. Alongside this, they will create amazing resources which they will use to pass on their knowledge about plants and the process of growing a forest.

They will also start to work collectively to create a class resource which will be used around the school and in other classes. Working collectively they will not only consolidate their knowledge of plant growth and the importance of healthy forests, but they will then use this knowledge to teach others and create resources to assist with this activity.
